Brad Wilcox, one of the leading researchers on marriage, reports that husbands who are committed to marriage for life have happier wives.

What husbands believe about gender roles does not predict their wives' happiness.

But if the wife is not similarly committed, it does not matter. And the pain of the committed and betrayed husband is excruciating.

At what point is “ committed for life “confirmed? At the marriage ceremony? Additionally, there are Vast differences in the two genders which should be embraced as such. I would agree there is happiness in commitment.
