17.6 Million Now Have Health Insurance Due to Obamacare
This excellent news was reported by Health and Human Service Secretary Sylvia Burwell.
When the Affordable Care Act was adopted, it was estimated that there were 30 to 35 million Americans without health insurance.
We are making huge progress, and ahead estimates.

Actually, Secretary Burwell says an "ESTIMATED" 17.6 million people have health insurance "due to the ACA." She does not say how many of that estimated 17.6 million had insurance before the ACA and have simply switched carriers for higher premiums and less coverage. I would love to see the numbers for those who WANTED insurance but could not get it before ACA who are now insured.
Also, this is an administration that has estimated that the unemployment rate has decreased by having DOL redefine unemployment. If you lost a job and after years and years have given up looking for work even though you still need a job, you are no longer unemployed. By that measure, I am a millionaire and Emperor of the World. Mark Twain had it right: Lies, damned lies, and statistics.
This week I received a rebate from Anthem on my Medicare Advantage policy which amounted to approximately 30% of my premium. This was mandated by the ACA because the plan did not spend 80% of the premiums collected on benefits.
