Mexican Immigration Turns the Corner

Mexican immigration has peaked and started to recede.

There are about 12 million Mexican immigrants in the United States.  Slightly over half of them are here illegally.

In the past few recession years the in-migration has slowed to a trickle, and the out-migration has picked up.  Last year there may have been more people returning to Mexico than came here.

Those who were afraid of being overrun by Mexicans can strike another fear from their list.

I don't know if that fear was ever based on rigorous mathematical projections.

Dear race baiter, the problem isn't Mexicans it's illegal immigration. When the economy comes back so will the illegals...

Not necessarily. Mexico's own economy is picking up and there is less internal impetus for people to migrate--people don't want to leave their country and family unless they absolutely have to, and there is less and less reason to do so now.
