Breaking News: The Boss Endorses Obama

Bruce Springsteen, my musical lodestar since I was a teenager, has endorsed Barack Obama.

After the terrible damage done over the past eight years, a great American reclamation project needs to be undertaken. I believe that Senator Obama is the best candidate to lead that project and to lead us into the 21st Century with a renewed sense of moral purpose and of ourselves as Americans.

Amen.

I also hear Jane Fonda and Oprah endorse Mr. Obama. With friends like these who needs enemies? I almost forgot, Hamas also endorses Obama.

Jane Fonda is trying to be a humble and responsible Christian woman, who has apologized many times for her "Hanoi Jane" past. Oprah is a pretty respectable promoter of culture to the masses. And I agree with Obama that we have to be prepared to talk to our enemies if we want to change their policies and prevent war.

I wonder why Mr. Obama doesn't want Jimmy Carter to talk to our enemies in Hamas? Doesn't he understand that maybe our enemies just need a hug and a good talking to.

It is not the talking to that Obama objected to, but the preconditions (or lack thereof). But Carter is a private citizen, more or less, and has freedoms that government representatives do not.

Which candidate do you consider most centrist oh Gruntled one? Clinton, Obama or McCain? And why?

Of all the crowd running for the Democratic and Republican nominations, the people chose the Republican with the greatest appeal to the independents and the centrists - McCain. And I believe the people have also chosen the Democrat with the greatest appeal to the independents and the centrists - Obama.

I back Obama, but McCain is the Republican I object to least. It should be a great election.
