Have a Gruntled Fourth

A thought for Independence Day: married people and their children have the greatest freedom to do what they want, because what they normally want to do is support one another.

Have you been reading Karl Barth? True freedom isn't freedom FROM others; it is freedom FOR others. We know this because God is for the world in Jesus.

Marriage and family have confirmed this for me. I feel more free than in my single life of autonomy, though loving others freely is demanding work.

Nice message for Independence Day.

Lovely -- I am always happy to be in agreement with Barth if possible.
