I like this graph a lot, but I think it would be more accurate if the blue "nerd” curve were shifted a bit to the left. High school is by far the hardest time for nerds, followed by college. However,by the age of 25 or so, the amount of life satisfaction achieved by thoughtful, well-studied, introverted folks can already be quite high.
I turn thirty this year, and I cannot wait. Twenty to thirty was AWFUL. THE PITS in almost every way. 1-20 was pretty wonderful. Oh, yes, I forgot: I'm a nerd, too. Here's to you, thirty!
