Yes We Can!

Mrs. G. and I were in line when the polls opened at 6 this morning. There was already a line out the door.

We woke our son up. 14-year-old boys with the day off from school don't normally relish rising at 5:30, but he went cheerfully, albeit sleepily, to see us vote in this historic election. Then he went back to bed.

We are now in our local coffee house, where I expect to see a larger-than-usual crowd, many with "I Voted" stickers, all morning.

This is a great day.

And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

We could and we did.

Yes we did...in 2.5 months. What can we expect in the meantime from a President who doesn't have much to lose (I know there's plenty to lose, but I think you all know what I mean)?

Pres. Bush has already invited Obama to take part in the upcoming economic summit. I don't think the hawks in the lame-duck administration could get away with starting another war. And I believe the President is tired and just wants to go home.

my only disappointment in all of this is that i didn't get a sticker!

Gruntled,
You sound a little paranoid. Maybe Bush will go out and start a war just to spite you!
