Sprog

I had a run-in with some “childfree” folks, who taught me a new word:

Sprog:
noun UK SLANG -- a baby or young child:
- She's got a couple of sprogs now.
verb UK SLANG
- Has she sprogged (= given birth) yet?

The CF Hardcore are either scary or hilarious . I prefer to think of them as hilarious. Their children will find this phase of their life amusing.

Hmmm. It sounds like the CF's children will be a fairly small subset of the human race...

Sort of like self-selected natural selection.

The "Encyclopedia Dramatica" has a whiff of "The Onion" about it.

Yes, this was also my first experience of the Encyclopedia Dramatica (which may be related to Live Journal, which hosts all of these conversations). Still, the parts I knew were accurate, though some counter-posters contested the adjectives.

I found this relevant to this discussion. Here's an article with a list of the top 10 companies for working parents (via fark.com), and Here's the corresponding fark discussion thread. Lots of vitriol out there for "breeders."

These guys seem a little older than the CF Hardcore, who appear to be adolescents. Sad.
