An insurgent group with a non-viable ideology took control of parts of the party. The leadership eventually decided that they (the leaders) had let things go so far that the leaders were the ones who had to leave the party and form another. I think the Republican leadership would do well to take action now, while they still can.Gruntledhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14864860607925412103noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16201378.post-35364192148996484092014-06-12T07:49:30.774-04:002014-06-12T07:49:30.774-04:00Purge the rolls, get rid of voters who don't l...Purge the rolls, get rid of voters who don't like RNC endorsed candidates. All power to the Democrats... A recipe even for moving from two to three parties, and Democrats ruling according to the adage, my way or the highway (remember how partisanly ACA came into being).Henry Chambersnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16201378.post-37024183116044436152014-06-11T16:21:36.566-04:002014-06-11T16:21:36.566-04:00Yes, a classic economist vs. sociologist confronta...Yes, a classic economist vs. sociologist confrontation. :-)Gruntledhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14864860607925412103noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16201378.post-50797570370142154242014-06-11T16:17:37.186-04:002014-06-11T16:17:37.186-04:00Did you notice that both the Democrat and Republic...Did you notice that both the Democrat and Republican in the general election are on the faculty at Randolph Macon.ceemacnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16201378.post-43286549813778370902014-06-11T14:45:08.323-04:002014-06-11T14:45:08.323-04:00Purge the rolls. The party has rules about who can run on its ballot in the primary. The rules are not designed to keep carpetbaggers out, but they could be.Gruntledhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14864860607925412103noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16201378.post-32256033881835456692014-06-11T13:38:55.615-04:002014-06-11T13:38:55.615-04:00The Republican Party spent about 10 times as much ...The Republican Party spent about 10 times as much money on getting Cantor reelected, as his opponent had available, and Cantor still lost.<br />RNC cooperation with the Tea Party was entirely non-existent, on the contrary, the RNC opposed Brat as much as they possibly could.
