Presbyterian U.S.A. can continue to sink. I'll be joining a more conservative (and growing) Presbyterian church down the road a bit.

So from Palestinians to gays to redefining the Trinity to some odd fertility cult, I'm done. This is it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16201378.post-1150696014154957342006-06-19T01:46:00.000-04:002006-06-19T01:46:00.000-04:00Red and blue exist because voting forces choices. ...Red and blue exist because voting forces choices. This happened in the presidential election, and it happens in constitutional amendment votes. All people are a bit mixed, but leaders of the advocacy groups have committed themselves to achieving specific voting victories. Most of the church, the loyalist center about which I often write, is purple. But some people are, by conviction and action, decidely reddish or blueish.Gruntledhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14377809238377382438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16201378.post-1150679480277949662006-06-18T21:11:00.000-04:002006-06-18T21:11:00.000-04:00You know, this whole red/blue presbytery thing has...You know, this whole red/blue presbytery thing has bothered me since somebody brought it up (either Scott Anderson or someone asking him a question).

It lowers the whole debate about the church to the level of base governmental politics. Red vs. blue - with lies and misdirection on both sides.

How about we make it simpler. PEOPLE are purple. Some redder than others, some bluer than others. Presbyteries are made of people, so they'll be purple too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
